What is this conference about?

The goal of this conference is to explore ways to support people with care needs so they can continue to live at home or in their communities longer.

Who should attend?

We are looking for front-line workers, service providers, and people with lived experience from Lake Superior Indigenous communities.

Is there a cost?

There is definitely no cost for anyone to attend this gaterhing..

What about transportation and accomodations?

We will reimburse First Nations or organizations in the Lake Superior area for transporation and accomodation costs for their employees to attend the conference. To book at room at the The Superior Inn, call 807-577-8481 and quote room block #250204. We have rooms reserved under this block at a rate of $150+HST until January 24, 2025.

What is the agenda? Can I present?

You can download the draft agenda now. There will be both presentations and significant times for attendees to provide their perspective through small group and large group exercises. We are still open to revising the agenda so please reach out if you feel you have something to share.

I am an amazing service provider and people should know what I do!

We have lots of room, so if your organization would like to have an information table we will happily accomodate that. You'll be right in the same room as the main conference and there will be lots of breaks in the action where people can come and visit your table. Your staff will be able to participate in the conference activities. We can also distribute promotional materials to conference attendees. Send an email to scott.baker@nokiiwin.com.
